House of Vision
“Those who see the destination and chart the course”
Direction, analysis, moral clarity
Every movement begins with someone who can see a future that does not yet exist and articulate it with enough clarity and moral force that other people begin to believe it is possible. The House of Vision holds the people who provide that direction—not through optimism alone, but through rigorous analysis of how power operates, where leverage exists, and what sequence of actions can move a society from where it is to where justice demands it be.
The members of this house are the ones who produce the intellectual and moral infrastructure that movements build on. They write the frameworks. They map the power. They name the destination. And in naming it, they make it real enough for others to organize around.
Is This Your House?
If you find yourself in the House of Vision, you are likely someone who thinks in systems. You see patterns where others see chaos. You are drawn to strategy, to long-term planning, to the question of how the pieces fit together. You may be the person in the room who says, "But what is our theory of change?" when everyone else wants to jump to action.
The Shadow Side
Vision without grounding can become detachment. People in this house are sometimes more comfortable with ideas than with people, more interested in being right than in building relationships. The Academy's curriculum helps Vision-house members develop the Connection and Action capacities that turn brilliant analysis into lived change.
