You arrived at this course knowing how to analyze power. You leave knowing how to build it. Every skill you learned — the one-on-one, the public narrative, the mission/vision/values framework, the group development model, the distributed leadership structure — you can use tonight.

What You Built

Over five modules, you developed the complete toolkit for building collective power from the ground up:

Module 1: The Art of the One-on-One — You learned the foundational act of organizing: the relational one-on-one meeting. You practiced distinguishing mobilizing from organizing, and you developed your Story of Self — the personal narrative that explains why you were called to this work.

Module 2: Group Formation — You learned Tuckman's Five Stages of group development, with a deep dive into the Storming phase — where most groups die. You diagnosed your own group's stage and analyzed the internal power dynamics that shape conflict.

Module 3: Mission, Vision, and Values — You drafted a strategic identity for your organizing effort: Mission (WHY), Vision (WHAT), Values (HOW), and the recruitment filter (WHO). You stress-tested your statements against real-world scenarios and crafted your Story of Us.

Module 4: The When and Where — You applied the When/Where framework to assess whether your organizing effort is timely and relevant. You completed your public narrative with the Story of Now — creating urgency without despair.

Module 5: Leadership and Team Structure — You compared charismatic and distributed leadership models, mapped your leadership pipeline, and designed the operational structure for your group.

What's Next

You now have a group with relationships, an identity, strategic clarity, and a structure. The next question is: What are we going to do?

Take the group you've built and begin to identify the issues, map the power dynamics, assess your resources, and select strategy. Everything you've built in Organizing & Base-Building is the foundation for everything that comes next.

Power & Resource Mapping

Your public narrative — Story of Self, Story of Us, Story of Now — is ready to scale. In Communications & Narrative Strategy, you'll learn to adapt your narrative for media, social media, and public audiences. The narrative infrastructure you built here is the raw material.

Communications & Narrative Strategy

If the group dynamics work in Module 2 resonated with you, Political Education & Group Learning goes much deeper into ongoing group development, facilitation, and collective analysis.
